Eye The Brittle in your EyeHow about that morning ‘sleep’ in our eyes? Don’t you love taking your nail and shoveling out that lovely crusty mucous from your eye crevice, flicking it all over the floors and tables trying to free your eyelids of restraint? That ‘sleep’ you casually toss to and fro is nothing more than eye snot that accumulated while you were sleeping.

Yes, you heard it here….Eye Snot! It’s the debris of the air that has stirred into a thick slimy waste that solidified into a crispy brittle eye-seal.

Mmmm. Go ahead, dig right now. Touch the crusted eyeball snot and ponder. It’s nothing new. We’ve dealt with this common everyday bodily function our entire lives by flicking it here and there.

It’s no different than your nose, except its like having boogers hang OUT of your nose when you wake. Wouldn’t that be something if you could blow your eye and create the sound your nostrils make as you propel eye goobers into a tissue? You thought sneezing out your nose was annoying, how about out your eye?

Sleezing (sleep – sneezing… nevermind)

So I guess sticking your finger in your eye is the same as sticking your finger in your nose. Right?

Your article was good, however I feel that the information that you posted was false. The “Brittle” in our eyes is actually from The Sandman. He comes and puts it in our eyes at night to help us sleep. Still enjoyed the post though, look forward to more great reading!
    Thanks!

Oh, it’s from the Sandman? I must have missed that in my research. Thanks for the heads up…and I’ll be sure to watch for him.

  • Aaron:

Well I think eye boogers are the same as boogers just nice in dried out. Most of the time. I beat the eye boogers this morning. The nose and eyes are conected. Interesting stuff.
