The FORMAL way can be nerve racking. “Can I take you to dinner and a movie with a chance of making out?” It can be charming if you’re not afraid of a bruised ego. But by casually asking them out for a cup of coffee or ice cream, it makes it easy to ask…and easy to recover.

The Casual “Date”

“Hey, do you want to get coffee or something and talk about class for like 3 hours?”

“I have a boyfriend.”

“So? We’re just friends. We can’t study as friends over wine and cheese? It’s cool though, I get it.”
